Return & Refund Policy
Events are services, not products — here is how deposits, cancellations and postponements work.
Last updated: 12 May 2026
This policy sets out the standard cancellation, postponement and refund terms of Blazekit Events Sdn. Bhd. Individual service agreements may refine these terms for a specific event; where they differ, the signed agreement prevails.
1. Deposits
A booking deposit (typically 40% of the contracted fee) secures your event date, our production team and key suppliers. Because venues and crews are reserved — and other enquiries declined — from the moment we receive it, deposits are non-refundable except where clause 4 or clause 5 applies.
2. Client cancellation
If you cancel a contracted event, the following refund schedule applies to fees paid beyond the deposit:
- More than 90 days before the event — full refund of payments beyond the deposit, less third-party costs already committed.
- 89 to 45 days before — 50% refund of payments beyond the deposit, less committed third-party costs.
- 44 to 15 days before — 25% refund of payments beyond the deposit, less committed third-party costs.
- 14 days or fewer before — no refund, as substantially all costs will have been incurred.
Committed third-party costs (venue hire, fabrication, entertainment retainers, printed materials) are documented and receipted — we pass through actual amounts, never estimates.
3. Postponement
We would always rather move a date than cancel an event. One postponement to a new date within 12 months is accommodated without penalty, subject to venue and supplier availability; already-committed third-party costs that cannot transfer are re-quoted. A second postponement is treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
4. Cancellation by Blazekit
In the unlikely event that we cancel and cannot offer an acceptable alternative date or equivalent replacement service, you receive a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit, within 14 days. This is the only obligation we owe for such cancellation, and it does not apply where cancellation results from your breach of the service agreement.
5. Force majeure
Where an event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond both parties' control (government restrictions, natural disaster, venue closure), we will first reschedule at no additional management fee. If rescheduling is impossible, we refund all payments less documented committed costs and work already performed, calculated transparently and itemised.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned by bank transfer to the account that made the original payment, in Malaysian Ringgit, within 14 working days of written confirmation.
7. Questions or disputes
Raise any billing question with your producer first, or email hello@blazekit.pro with your contract reference. Unresolved disputes follow the governing-law provisions of our Terms & Conditions.
